Emma Straub Tweets Sneak Peek of New Novel
Emma Straub last published a book in 2016. That's scheduled to change next year.
And now we have physical proof. Yesterday Straub tweeted a photo of her upcoming novel, All Adults Here.

The book's publisher, Riverhead Books, describes All Adults Here as "a warm, funny and keenly perceptive novel about the lifecycle of one family -- as the kids become parents, grandchildren become teenagers, and a matriarch confronts the legacy of her mistakes."
An exact release date for All Adults Here hasn't been announced, but based on Straub's tweet, you can circle May 2020 on your calendars. At least one book blogger has received an ARC (advance review copy) of the novel.
Emma Straub is the author of three novels and a short story collection (paid link). Her most recent book was 2016's, Modern Lovers (paid link).
Emma Straub the Bookshop Owner
So, along with writing All Adults Here, what's Straub been up to the past few years?
She and her husband, Michael Fusco-Straub, opened a bookshop in the Cobble Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn. The store, Books are Magic, opened in May 2017.
They opened Books are Magic after Cobble Hill's independent bookstore, BookCourt, closed after 35 years.

About running a bookshop Straub told The New York Times, "Book buying is an endless, somewhat free-wheeling shopping spree, and I love it."
And things seem to be going well for the solo store. In its first year, Books are Magic did over $1 million in sales. As of May, the shop's sold so far this year more than 150,000 books.
Books are Magic holds daily events that feature well-read and respected authors. Recent writers to appear at the store include Celeste NG, Colson Whitehead, and Elizabeth Gilbert.
As if running a bookstore wasn't enough, Straub and Fusco-Straub are parents to two young boys.
And, still, Straub found time to produce a new novel.
