As you read this, I was hoping to be in western Massachusetts, enjoying clean, country air, and starlit skies. Like many of our plans these days, my escaping DC for the farm is on hold. Instead, we’ll grill some barbecue chicken in our city-sized backyard while I pretend the distant sirens are gobbling turkeys.
It’s a small sacrifice. And I’m not complaining. We’re fortunate enough that we can stay home and wear masks without great suffering. Plus, as my grandmother used to say, “This too shall pass.”
Hopefully, you’re able to find some time to relax and enjoy this holiday weekend, even if it’s not what you hoped or planned to do.
Thanks for reading,
