Happy Friday,
And happy early Mother’s Day!
When I was a kid, my parents each year gave my grandmothers hanging flower baskets on Mother’s Day. It was fun to watch the flowers grow throughout the summer, their tentacles overflowing and cascading down the basket’s edges. My grandmothers are now gone. But I still see their faces and hear their voices in many things, including hanging flower baskets.
Memories can sustain us. This year’s not a typical Mother’s Day. Yet perhaps you can still create a moment that you and yours will warmly recall in later times. If nothing else, maybe this weekend, you’ll smile as you remember a motherly figure in your life.
Flower baskets surround us. Sometimes we only have to look.
Thanks for reading,
Nick
