Happy Friday,
This week I spent a couple of hours typing poems I’d written in my notebook over the past year. Now they’re safely stored in the Cloud and ready for publication submission should I ever feel foolhardy enough to do so.
We don’t often do something for ourselves. Instead, much of our lives goes to serving others, from family to friends to employers. But sometimes we need to pause and do something for ourselves—practice self-care.
Transferring my poems was time I could’ve spent researching for Bidwell Hollow or doing client work. Instead, I stepped back in time, reading poetry that recalled experiences lived, moments celebrated, and those loved who are now gone.
My hope for you is that this weekend or sometime soon, you take the time to do something for yourself. You deserve it.
Thanks for reading,
Nick
