Hi There,
A part of aging they don’t tell you about is the impulse to buy in bulk. When you’re young, you don’t think about what you’ll do if a storm hits or the aliens invade.
But that starts to change around the time you begin feeling lower back pain or start sneaking in one more bathroom run before calling it a night. Next thing you know, you’re gleefully snatching up tubs of mayonnaise.
Which is my way of saying I have a bunch of travel toothpaste tubes that recently expired. Back when there were weddings, family visits, and vacations, the bulk purchase of travel toothpaste made sense. Yet, a year without travel means my bulk travel toothpaste purchase was a bust. You win some, and you lose some.
Below are this week’s book lists., many featuring new books. But don’t forget the old ones, too. Because unlike toothpaste, most books don’t expire.
Happy b̶r̶u̶s̶h̶i̶n̶g̶ reading,
Nick
