Happy Friday, Friend,
No, I did not strike it rich with GameStop stock this week, but I did find a penny in a coat pocket. I’m cautious not to spend it all at once.
Something else that brought me joy this week is this New York Times piece about books that well-known writers enjoyed. And if you need something to get excited about, on Monday, New York Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard will reveal his book club’s first selection. The book club is named, I kid you not, Noah’s Book Club.
A book club was one of the most-requested items in the readership survey I begged you to take last fall. I’ve no updates for you on that front because running a book club isn’t easy for us non-baseball players. But I can tell you that a new website is coming soon, with more stories, information about writers, and more.
See? You have something to look forward to, even if you aren’t on your way to the private island you bought with your GameStop earnings. (But if you are on your way to your private island, remember to invite anyone who emails you book lists every Friday, if you know anyone fitting that description. 🤔)
Thanks for reading,
Nick
